Frustrated with a Hard-to-Read Display?

The Uniden R4/R7 R8 radar detectors are designed for left-hand drive vehicles, meaning their screens angle away when mounted in the center of a right-hand drive car. This forces you to lean left just to get a full view—far from ideal for quick glances while driving.

A Simple, Effective Fix

Our custom-designed clip replaces the original metal mount, reorienting the radar detector to a neutral position. Now, the screen faces directly back, ensuring better visibility and ease of use.

Why Upgrade?

✔ Improved visibility – No more awkward leaning to see your screen.

✔ Direct fit replacement – Installs easily onto the existing pivoting mount.

✔ Secure and durable – Made to hold your radar detector firmly in place.

Upgrade your radar detector mount today for better visibility and a safer driving experience!

Note

👉 Detector Direction Note

The reorientation points the detector slightly more to the left. This has minimal impact on performance, as radar beams are wide and laser alerts typically come too late to react anyway.

⚠️ Important Installation Note

The bottom screw on the existing mount is extremely tight and is very likely to strip during removal. Replacement screws are included for this reason. As long as you can loosen it enough to grip and remove it with needle-nose pliers, you'll be good to go.

Can this be used with the OEM suction cup mount?

Yes, it works with the OEM suction cup mount, as well as our detachable mount, which is designed to fit the original 25mm pivoting clip of the original suction cup

What is the purpose of this?

It reorients the radar detector so the screen faces the rear of the vehicle instead of the left side, providing a more neutral viewing position from both seats.
